Induction Day

Please fill in the form below to request an Induction Day. We will get back to you with an available date within 24 hours.

We require all new dogs to come in for an “Induction Day” day prior to booking in future stays. This is to make sure that your dog fits in well with the regular crew, and that they cope with the environment, so they can have the best time possible while away from home. If the Induction day goes well, we can book in future stays from there.

Day stays are not suited for all dogs for a number of reasons. Our experienced staff will spend the day supervising your dog to ensure that the best decision is made for the animal. This means assessing its suitability with the packs, and how well they can cope being away from the owner for the day. If we believe your dog will not settle in here comfortably, we will decline future bookings. This is to ensure the wellbeing and safety of all dogs attending PKC. Some dogs are better suited to alternative methods of socialisation.

We will evaluate your dogs social skills, comfort levels, and any issues such as aggression, excessive barking, anxiety, stress etc. to determine whether or not this environment will benefit them.

This is a non-negotiable policy and will apply to any dog that has not been to PKC before or has not been here for a while. Our office will advise you if your dog is required to attend an Induction Day.

Please Note:

Drop off between 7:15am – 8:15am and pick up between 4:00pm – 5:00pm. (An early drop off means that your dog will be one of the first to arrive, so he/she will be able to familiarise themselves with the new environment before the other playmates gradually arrive).

Your dog will then get 2 - 3 hours of playing and socialising with the other dogs in the morning and then 2 - 3 hours of playing and socialising in the afternoon. During this time, our team members will work closely with your dog to ensure the best opportunity for success.

From 11.00am – 2.00pm the dogs are individually kenneled for their much-needed rest time.

Induction days need to be booked in advance via our online booking form below.

We only run Induction Days between Monday – Friday, and we limit it to one dog per area, per day. This is so our team get plenty of time to spend with your dog, giving it the best chance to settle in.

We will not accept dogs which are disruptive or antisocial. This is to ensure the maintenance of a calm and controlled environment for our regular crew.

The cost of this is $25.00 for the day.
